Section 59 Issued for Anti-Social Behaviour

During the past few weeks, we have seen a rise in reports regarding vehicles driving in an Anti-Social manner at ASDA, Ventura Park.

We have reviewed CCTV to identify vehicles & drivers and have also increased patrols of the area where we have witnessed the vehicles ourselves partaking in this activity.

Offending drivers and vehicles have been issued with a Section 59 Warning which lasts for 12 months. Drivers have also been issued with a Community Protection Warning (CPW).

If any recipient of a Section 59 warning (which goes against the vehicle and the person driving) is caught reoffending within the 12 months period then the vehicle can be seized and potentially crushed.

We have also received a number of reports this week regarding Anti-Social driving at Jolly Sailor Car Park. We have increased patrols and any offenders will be dealt with accordingly.
